Inside The Mind Of Adolf Hitler (Adolf Hitler's profile by the CIA)

Adolf Hitler

I watched this documentary a couple of days ago and I found it to be so very interesting. I am very intrigued by the human psychic and a man such as Adolf Hitler is – to say the least – an interesting character to study within the subject.

1943, during the burning war, the American Office of Strategic Services (OSS)  attempted to pierce the psychic of the dictator. A group from the Harvard University was assigned the project tasked create a top secret psychological profile of Hitler with intent to predict his future actions. The result was startling. A frightening mixture of abuse, obsession and perversion.

The photograph of Hitler is from Hitler, Herbert Walther, Ed., 1978, Bison Books, London, p. 94. The caption reads ”Hitler in 1925 after his release from Landsberg.” The photograph is credited to the Bundesarchiv in Koblenz.

Literature: Extremists

Literature Extremists
Extremists (The people behind the attacks) by Magnus Sandelin

Extremists is the story about three political acts of violence that have received attention the last years. A close story about the people behind the attacks of terrorism. The author Magnus Sandelin also discuss the environmental and society view on the movement of extreme politics. Why are certain politic fundamentalism perceived as harmless teenage revolt while others as pure unjustifiable evil?

Intend to start reading it as soon as possible. It is not going to be simple to find the time to finish it soon even though it’s just a 229 page pocket book. I’m in a busy stage of life! Quite looking forward to acquire a personal summary, judged by it’s cover the book is possibly potentially. (As we all know we should not judge a book by it’s cover.)

The photos display I, Antonio and our son Cristiano who turn 8 months in 10 days.

The weather has been bad the last week as it has either poured rain or been chilly so when it stabilizes like it did after lunch hour today I eagerly cease the opportunity.

Songbird

Songbird logo icon I am interested in software and development as well as music and hot design so this post is given. Songbird must be my favorite open-source music player available to the Windows XP platform to the date. At least among the ones that I know of. Some reasons why I like it besides the obvious cool name is the add-ons which makes it possible for me to customize it according to what I like my music player to be. Such as Last.Fm and Twitter integration, Music Recommendations and the SkreemR Search.

Songbird is a free and open source software audio player and web browser founded by Rob Lord and developed by Pioneers of the Inevitable (with members who previously developed for both Winamp[1] and the Yahoo! Music Engine), with a stated mission ”to incubate Songbird, the first Web player, to catalyze and champion a diverse, open Media Web.”[2]

Songbird employs Mozilla’s XULRunner platform, and is thus capable of running on Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS X, Solaris and Linux. Songbird utilizes the GStreamer media framework.

Angels and Demons _2

Warning: spoiler alert!

A couple of weekends ago I went to the cinema and saw Dan Brown‘s best selling novel Angels & Demons recomposed as a movie. I never read the book, in fact I have yet to finish The Da Vinci Code (most likely to never happen), so I can’t make a comparison but I often hear that ”the books are better than the movies”. I didn’t find that the movie had that thing necessary for me to appreciate it. It is a good story (with a bad ending) that failed as a movie. It didn’t do a good job of making me react. There was a couple of scenes that frightened me (which is a good thing) and a couple that made me laugh, other than that it failed to touch me. The ending was horrible! He survived? Come on!

List of Ping Services

I made it real simple for myself and Googled for a List of Ping Services to add to the Update Service (Settings/Writing) integrated into my self-hosted WordPress. Smart choice for a stressed stay-at-home mom to build ground for reading circle. However, as suggested at Daven.se I use the Smart Update Pinger plugin at Prelovac.com to handle the pinging because it sends pings only when publishing posts and not when editing. Since pinging the same posts several times could get your website banned from ping sites.

I found the list at DailyBlogTips. You can view it there.
