My son is spending today with his father. He is usually with me  so I am use to having him close a good 24/7 which is why I miss him so much and am eager for his father to bring him back. I admit that it is a tough job being a full-time mother and that I am in need of some me-time to recharge the batteries but it’s difficult for me to let him go. To accept that I need to let them have alone time together as well is something that I mentally am fully capable of understanding while I heart-wise is panicking. Between minor panic-angsts I do get things done in the household.  I surmise it is a get-use-to thing. Or more specifically a thing one simply have no other option but to accept because a loving parent never really want to let go, no?

It’s about time that we hear from that man. It’s a smart thing of him to do, unfortunately for him and his career it probably does not mean all that much. He has an entire world to answer to. Before he beat up a woman my personal opinion of him as an artist and his music was that he would go very far. Shame he messed that up.

I’m evolving into this role of a mother. It’s another world for sure. The protector, the nurser. My child, my offspring. I watch you develop with admiration. We. You and I and your father. We are growing into a family.  We will do our best to encourage you, reassure you and teach you. We will comfort you, teach you braveness and a strong and kind heart. We will teach you to follow your dreams, to walk in your own footprints, to see the light at the end of the tunnel. To be there whenever you fall, to help you up on your feet. To watch over you while you discover the world.

As so many did around the globe I too tuned in on the Michael Jackson live memorial from the Staple Center in Los Angeles where his family, friends and fans payed a beautiful tribute to the King of Pop. Many beautiful and true words was spoken. I have no doubt it is already on YouTube.
