There are times that I like to enhance my photos. Photoshop requires some knowledge to create nice edits and there are many fantastic tutorials all across the web and in magazines and Photoshop is so fun but it is an advanced program and at times all I need is something that is lightweight and simple. Like these three free and useful photo editors, each with its unique qualities.

I don’t often get the chance to review movies that I watch. I watch plenty periodically but when I get the chance to update my blog I feel that I have something else that I rather share. Now I’m thinking it’s loong (no I did not misspell this word) over due for a movie post. Yes, I’m tired, it’s past midnight and I’d also love to be asleep but I want to update about this movie I saw: Män som hatar kvinnor (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo).

This is a mystery/thriller move and while I find the Swedish title misleading and non-relating to the story and it’s unlikely I would have watched this movie had it not been for the Swedish title which inspired to curiosity it’s not a fantastic movie however I did become quite intrigued by Noomie, the female lead character of this film. It did however recieve a 7.6/10 rating out of 5,164 votes over at imdb.

(Swedish for ”Men who hate women,” renamed in the English translation as The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo)
Award-winning novel by the late Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson, the first in his ”Millennium Trilogy”.
At his death in November 2004 he left three unpublished novels that made up the trilogy. It became a posthumous best-seller in Europe.

Men Who Hate Women opened in France on 13 May, in Italy and Spain on 29 May 2009.

The girl who played with fire will premier simultaneously in Sweden, Norway and Denmark on 18 September 2009. In Finland, the film will open one week later.

The girl who kicked the hornets´nest will subsequently be released 27 November 2009 in Sweden, Norway and Denmark and in Finland during January 2010.

Rumors have been speculating on a Hollywood version of the book. Yellow Bird, executive producer Søren Stærmose confirmed in an interview with Swedish newspaper Expressen that negotiations are taking place. This would not be a US remake of the Swedish films but rather new Hollywood films based on the books.  – source

My life has definitely changed, even more so than the wildest of my imaginations could envisage, when I became a mother. My life now evolve around this little miracle. When you get a pet it’s a part of your life, when you have a child it IS your life. A child is not an addition to your life, a child is a change of life as you know it.

The first year of a child’s life, as first time parents, is really all about getting into the role of parenting. Learning, adapting, realizing, changing.

My son is 10 going on 11 months and the faze that we are in now is the one where he practice to be able to walk by himself and he wants to speak and mimics words.

We went to visit a daycare center just a couple of days ago which is located in the area where we are looking for apartment to buy. And I’m realizing that no matter how great a daycare center appear to be I am going to experience unease about this whole thing of leaving my child in the care of people I don’t know. I consider myself to be so lucky about the fact that I gave birth at a point in my life when I have the possibility to care for my child instead of using full-time daycare. I definitely realize the importance that the aspects of daycare has for these young children and no way am I going to deny him the process of development that the opportunity of daycare present. I can’t predict what will happen but his interest has a deciding role as do my judgement regarding what I experience. The ideal is to find a solution that best benefits him. Mi amor.

I had planned to place him at daycare at the age of 1 and a half years but  noticing the degree of his will to interact with other children has made me consider and most possibly place him as soon as he knows how to walk. We are definetly going to go slow, I am going to need to feel secure about leaving him out of my care/sight.

I use the social web browser Flock on my own machine. Cause it’s wonderful – understatement. At times I have the need to download an swf file off a website and here is how I do that.

I don’t use any Mozilla addons or any program, I simply go to the Tools section in the browser menu and click on Page Info as seen on the image below.

Where I go to the Media page on the small page that pops up and select the swf I want to download – click on Save As and save it to the machine.

Simple.

I let myself be fooled. It looked so fun and I wanted one. I installed myWebFace (a world of fun) the other day and now find my computer infested with parasites. I will not even link to the darn site. It’s not worthy of a free link from Banana.Munki.se!

Before I ran the executable file I scanned it with my anti virus program (I use AVG) and nothing was found. Doing some research of www.myWebFace.com I have found that the website itself appear malware, trojan, virus, etc free however installing myWebFace on your machine will unleash all hell!
