My sons father brought these two toy airplanes home. I think they’re really cute. He work in an airport and our son has often times accompanied his work place. The entire side of the entry hall is windowed (it’s very large) as this is a great place to watch airplanes take off and land, this is something that they have together – watch as airplanes come and leave. Our son really like airplanes, whenever he hear one he point up and say the word airplane to the best of his ability not speaking so well yet. He always spot them so far away on the sky that it’s difficult to make them out. It’s really cute from a mother point of view (and father). So now we wish the toys are liked and enjoyed!
There’s been a festival and the carnival came to town. We’re visiting grandmother and this town is small so when we made the trip out there right after lunch there were only a few number of other families with young children there. Later in the afternoon and in the evening after work hours is when the carnival usually overflow with visitors… and alcohol.
So it seemed like a ghost carnival and there weren’t any carousels for children that an adult could ride along with which seemed unfair. Cristiano is too young to ride alone and that’s too bad because I really wanted him to experience it. He didn’t appear to be disapointed by that anyway and running around the field with mom chasing him to make sure he didn’t go hurt himself was most likely more fun to him than any ride in this point of his life.
It was really hot that day, allowing for less clothes. Spring has definitly arrived, finally!
Snapped quite a few pictures from the carnival, some of which Cristiano’s back is turned towards me (and the camera) running away being energetic and prankish. I liked the paintings.
There’s quite a few pictures (as I mentioned) and I’m trying to keep the number of images on the frontpage limited so you need to go ahead view the rest after the jump, thank you
.
I used to think these were idiotic. I decided to get a stroller nametag, having managed pushing the stroller around for 1½ year without one – because now I think they’re cool
(I am linking these photos from Flickr which is why these images are a different size than most others in my blog. Not that you care.)
I would much better have prefered the numbers ”08″ over the flag, Cristiano is a 08-born child
We thought we would make the trip to the season opening of the local amusement park for Cristiano to experience the adventure and fun. We took the ferry instead of the buss to create a fun start to the evening but he’s probably too young to appreciate that yet, he just didn’t show any interest at all :-p .
I’ve become too old for roller coasters. I enjoyed this place when I was a child and so did my sons father. The amusement park is old and probably has changed much since it opened in 1883. Besides the amusement rides there are theatres and scenes for performance. There was a stage at the side of park that’s for children that held a theatrical performance about pirates that we stayed to watch for Cristiano and he seemed to enjoy it because his focus was on the stage the whole time.
Before I continue I have to confess that I prior to this visit to the amusement park never had even tried one bite of the legendary Ben & Jerry which is on everyone’s lips both literary and not. Destiny interfered – I stood in line to an ice-cream stand with my son in the stroller. The line was long and wasn’t moving much at all so he got bored and started becoming whiny so I left the queue before he would start crying hence I got no ice-cream but I really wanted one and the urge for one didn’t pass. While Antonio was watching Cristiano (we take turns to gain back strength and energy because our son is really one (5 hands) hand full) and while they were checking out some odd tree monster that caught our sons attention I noticed a Ben&Jerry parlour and decided to get my ice-cream there. I can’t remember which flavours I finally decided on but I got two scoops in a waffle cone. In mind that the whole world seem addicted to these two guys I took the first taste and wasn’t pleased at all but as I finished the ice-cream one of these two flavours exploded with a delicious taste. So it now appears I am also a Ben&Jerry fan, actually!
There was a small ”thing” that day which totally made me snap. As a Cappuccino lover I get one on the go ceveral times per week. So I wanted one and the girl handed me a barely medium size cup that wasn’t even filled to the half with Cappuccino that I had payed almost $3 for. This cup of Cappuccino was a joke and I said to the girl that ”THIS cost almost $3?? It’s not even half a cup!” She basically ignored me and I flipped throwing the cup on the table. If I had payed $3 for this joke of Cappuccino I could just as well through it away. She could at least have offered to fill the cup! – Not very mature is it? *not proud*
We stayed through-out the afternoon and made it back home around 8pm. Before we called it a day we walked into the City to check out some stores and I came home with a new jacket and some jerseys!
I am going to upload photos that I took and paste here below.
I’m trying to keep the number of images down on the front page so the rest of the photos are available after the jump.
